Patricia Govezensky is a contemporary artist whose practice spans two equally distinctive bodies of work: three-dimensional layered metal wall sculpture, and richly painted figurative compositions of women. About the Artist
Patricia Govezensky is a contemporary artist whose distinctive mixed-media practice has earned her international recognition. Trained at the Avni Institute of Art and Design in Tel Aviv, she develops her work across painting, sculpture, and three-dimensional layered construction in cutout metal and sculpted wood.
Her best-known pieces — vivid hearts and butterflies composed of meticulously hand-cut metal layers, set in dimensional wall sculptures — combine intricate pattern with luminous color. Each work invites viewing from multiple angles, with shifting depth and shadow becoming part of the composition. The technique draws on traditions of papercut and sculptural painting, reinterpreted through a fully contemporary palette.
