About the Artist
Svyatoslav Shyrochuk, who exhibits under the name Sher, was born on March 16, 1958, in Dnipro, Ukraine. From a young age he honed his artistic skills at the Dnipro art school, inspired by works displayed at the Dnipropetrovsk Art Museum. The son of a violinist mother and a landscape-painter father, he developed a unique visual style that fuses musical rhythm, landscape, and modern color.
His best-known works are richly textured depictions of the four seasons, executed in oil with a palette knife and built from thick layers of pure, often rainbow-saturated color. The technique produces striking, energetic compositions whose surfaces read almost as relief — capturing both the structure of the landscape and the emotional rhythm of the seasons.
Sher's paintings have been exhibited internationally and are held in private collections across Europe, North America, and Asia. His originals are sought after by collectors of contemporary impressionist landscape and modern color-driven painting.
At Gol Art we present Sher originals across his seasonal and landscape series. Each piece is personally inspected and authenticated.
